| Barbara has been a resident of New Bern, North Carolina since 2001. Originally from Long Island, New York, where she worked as an art Director for an Advertising Agency for 25 years. After retirement she still works on a free lance basis. She started painting in watercolor in 1998 with an interest in beach scenes, seascapes and people. Recently she has expanded her subject matter to include scenes around North Carolina. Her work can be seen and purchased in the Carolina Artists Studio Gallery in Morehead City, Ballantyne's in New Bern and the Matty King Gallery in Beaufort. She is a member of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina and the Twin Rivers Artists Association. |
