| Jane McConlogue aka Sea Jane When I started painting in the early 1960's my first instructor insisted we spend one hour each day looking intently at the light, shadows and colors around us. I was amazed at how much I had never seen. Fortunately in those early years, I had found the opportunity to work with many fine New York artists that lived and summered on Long Island. Having always been drawn to the sea, it's changing moods, and the people that make their living from it, has inspired my painting the most. I work primarily in oils but enjoy acrylics and watercolor also. Originally I am from Long Island, New York, now living in Morehead City, NC. |
