A BFA in Illustration from Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, PA
launched my career as a technical illustrator for a major defense
contractor in Baltimore, MD. Then after further enhancing my skills with
a MA in Publications Design from the University of Baltimore, I spent the
majority of my professional career planning and overseeing the design
and production of executive presentations, brochures, and marketing
display panels. Finally in the fall of 1999, I hung up my t-square and
triangle moved with my husband to eastern North Carolina. Al last, I
have the time and opportunity to devote to fine arts painting. After years
of creating painstakingly accurate representations of products and
technologies, it has been quite a pleasure to paint subjects that I enjoy,
placing my major emphasis on color and design.
Because they enable spontaneity and freshness, I have chosen
water-based paints as my mediums for expression. With these mediums
and my choice of subject matter, I have attempted to capture the flavor
on North Carolina in my paintings.
