| The Carolina Artist Studio Gallery, non-profit organization, was founded in 1997 with the intent to provide fine art experiences for the local community. We achieve this through various programs and exhibitions. CASG reaches out to the community through nursing homes, public and private schools, the home schooled and those with special needs. CASG arranges the time, selects the teachers and provides supplies so they may have the joy of a positive art experience. CASG encourages the growth and development of both emerging and established artists by providing public exhibition space and encouraging the interaction of the artists. CASG offers workshops and classes to the community throughout the year. Our members and friends teach classes in acrylic, cartooning, photography, oil painting, watercolor, oriental watercolor, and pottery. Classes are held in our studio. CASG invites school groups to tour the gallery. Seeing a variety of styles and media helps students develop an appreciation of art and design. The gallery is a major local resource for the community college and high schools, offering tours and lectures. CASG mentor's art students by teaming them up with an artist to help them prepare and critique their portfolios in preparation for college admission. CASG provides a beautiful and spacious meeting place for other cultural and educational activities in the community.
